Questions
Questions & answers
Which plan do I need?
Free is for a quick, simple invite. Party adds the animated card, automated WhatsApp messages and RSVP tracking. Party + Page adds a party page and a mini game. Celebration is for big events like quinceañeras and Bar & Bat Mitzvahs. You pay once per party: no subscription.
What does Free include?
Simple invite designs, a simple RSVP list and up to 40 guests. You share the link yourself, or we send up to 10 emails for you. Free has no WhatsApp or SMS, party page or game, and shows a small “Made with TheParty.day” mark.
Do guests need an app?
No. Guests open the invite in their browser, on any phone or computer, and answer in a couple of taps.
How do the invitations go out?
On a paid plan, invitations and reminders go out automatically to your whole guest list with one button, and every answer is tracked. On Free, you copy the link and share it yourself, or we send a limited number of emails for you.
Who sends the WhatsApp messages?
If you choose automatic sending, we send them from TheParty's own WhatsApp Business number on the dates you pick, with delivered and read ticks (paid plans). Or send them yourself from your own WhatsApp, one tap per guest, free.
How does SMS work?
We can text each guest their personal link automatically on the dates you choose, or you send it from your own phone's messages app.
How do the emails work?
Automatic emails come from hello@theparty.day with your invite and each guest's personal link. Or open your own email with the link ready to send.
Can I send the invites myself?
Yes. Copy each guest's link, or the one open link, and send it from your own WhatsApp, SMS or email. On paid plans we can also send to everyone for you.
When are messages sent?
Only between 09:00 and 21:00 in each guest's own time zone, in their language, and every message has an opt-out. You pick the time in your party's time; guests abroad get it automatically during their own daytime hours, so no one is woken at night.
Can I talk to someone?
Yes, any time: tap “Chat with us”. Someone usually answers within 5 minutes. If no one has answered yet, leave your name and an email or phone number, and we’ll get back to you.
How do personal links work?
Every guest gets a private link to their own invitation, with their name. When they answer, their RSVP (adults and kids) goes straight into your list. No app or login needed.
Personal invite or open link?
A personal invite greets each family by name and tracks their answer. An open link is one link for a class or family chat: guests type their own names when they answer.
Is there one link for a class group chat?
Yes: an optional open link you can post in a group chat. Each guest types their own name when they answer.
How do I see who is coming?
Your party dashboard shows every answer as it arrives: who is coming, who can't, who hasn't answered, and how many adults and kids.
Can I change the design later?
Yes. Change the design, words or details in your dashboard at any time. Your guests' links stay the same and show the latest version.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Start on any plan and move up from your party's Plan page. Your design, guests and answers stay as they are.
What is an animated invite?
A card that opens with a themed opening (an envelope, an egg, a gift), moves, and shows the child's name and age with a little animation. Animated cards come with the Party plan and up; Free gets the still card.
Are there several versions of each theme?
Yes. Many themes have more than one design, so you can pick the one you like best.
Can I add music?
Animated plans (Party and up) play a song when the invite opens: pick one of ours. On Party + Page and up you can also paste a Spotify or YouTube link for your own song.
How do I add guests easily?
Paste a list, pick people from your phone's contacts, or upload an Excel or CSV file (there is a template to download). Adding from a WhatsApp group link is coming soon.
How do I see what is free?
On the Designs page, tap Filter, then Free to list every free design, grouped by theme. Party shows the animated designs from the Party plan, and Premium the premium events.
Can siblings and extra kids come?
Yes, if you allow it. You choose whether guests can add siblings and extra kids, and the tracker counts adults and kids separately.
What are add-ons?
Extras you add from your party dashboard when you need them: more WhatsApp messages, seating, premium designs, an album with a QR code for guests' photos and room for more guests.
Which languages?
Invitations and RSVPs work in English, Hebrew, Spanish, French, Russian and Arabic.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of buying, as long as you haven’t sent any invitations yet (14 days in Israel, the EU and the UK). In Israel a small cancellation fee is deducted; in Canada, the US and elsewhere, the card processing fee. Once your invitations have gone out, the service has been delivered. Read the refund policy
What happens to my guests’ details?
Guests’ names and answers are used to run your party, and you see them in your party dashboard. Our privacy policy has the details. Read the privacy policy
How do card gifts work?
Guests choose an amount from the link you sent them and see exactly what they'll pay before they pay. Stripe handles the payment in a secure form, and the money goes to your own Stripe account. You set this up once, in Gifts, with Stripe's form.
Who receives the money?
You do. Each gift is a payment to your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to the bank account you gave it. TheParty doesn't hold the gift and receives only the service fee.
Who handles the payment and the identity checks?
Stripe. Guests type their card details in Stripe's form, and you give your identity and bank details to Stripe, not to TheParty. Stripe may ask you for more information, and you accept Stripe's terms in its form. TheParty keeps only your Stripe account reference and its status.
What does it cost?
Guests pay the gift, Stripe's estimated card fee and a 2% TheParty service fee. These appear as separate lines before paying and update with the amount. Stripe takes its actual fee from your account, so what you receive can differ slightly from the gift.
Can a gift be refunded?
Yes. You can refund a paid card gift from Gifts. The gift amount goes back to the guest's card through Stripe; Stripe's fee and the 2% service fee aren't returned. A guest who wants a refund asks you. If a guest disputes the payment with their bank, Stripe deals with it with you, and it appears in Gifts.
When does the money reach our bank?
Stripe decides, not TheParty. Timing depends on your bank's country and your account. A first payout usually takes longer than later ones, Stripe pays out only what's available and above its minimum payout amount, and your bank may take extra time. In Gifts, your payouts screen shows your schedule, what's on its way and the expected date.
Which countries are available?
Your bank account needs to be in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, most euro-area countries, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Poland or Czechia. You choose your bank's country in Gifts. Guests can pay with a card from another country.
Is it available in Israel?
Not for now. Stripe doesn't offer this for bank accounts in Israel, so gifts can't be received this way into an Israeli bank account.
